Welcome to Small World of Frans
It all started with a “one in a million disease”. When suddenly stuck in the hospital without knowing if I were to survive, a TikTok video caught my attention.
The TikTok video that changed it all
The video was posted by an Australian artist named Werner Bronkhorst who was in the making of a big painting filled with miniature skiers.
I decided there and then that I was going to survive and be able to do something similar.
My first painting took me 8 months to complete
At first, thinking about how to do it and who to paint was all I could but it gave me hope enough. After 6 months of a quite aggressive chemotherapy I could finally use my hands enough to start trying.
My first big painting brought in over 300k for charity.
After completing my first painting next attempt ended up being part of a huge charity show. After painting live in nationwide television and radio for a week, my art was blessed having a positive impact to this world.
So here I am painting my Small World, from Small Land in a small land - Sweden
I can’t really wrap my head around what makes me so happy about all the small people. I guess it’s the combination of doing something that I never thought I could and the actual people I draw.
Since I’m still on chemo I’m recommended not to travel or be around to much people.
As you can imagine, Small World is really what life is for me now so let’s embrace it and welcome the beauty of it.
